The Learning and Writing Centre, run by IELLI, is the inclusive student hub to access the resources developed to help you thrive in your studies. Here you can access St Andrews' study skills and academic language provision.

Christmas Opening Hours

Please note that in line with the wider University, the Learning and Writing Centre and IELLI will be closed for the festive break from 24 December until Monday 5 January. The Learning and Writing Centre inbox (learning@) will not be regularly monitored between 19th December and the 6th January; we will respond to your email as soon as possible in the new year.

Appointment and tutorial slots will reopen for booking from 19 January. If you require an appointment between 12 January and 19 January, please email us at [email protected] and we will do our best to accommodate your request, although please note you may not receive a reply until the new year if emailing after Friday 19th December.

If you have urgent concerns regarding student welfare over the festive break, please contact the University on +44 (0)1334 468999. The University Security and Response Team will arrange for a member of Student Services to return your call.

The Learning and Writing Centre is run by the International Education and Lifelong Learning Institute (IELLI) at The University of St Andrews.
